# Apple Watch Ultra 4 Pushes Battery Life Past Two Days

If the Apple Watch Series 12 is the everyday health tracker, the Ultra 4 is the one built for long runs, remote trails and days away from a charger. This year's update does not change the rugged titanium look, but it adds the features that matter most to its audience: better sensors and more stamina.

## Battery that goes the distance

Apple quotes up to 50 hours of everyday battery life, comfortably more than two days, and up to 45 hours of outdoor workout tracking. That puts multi-day hikes, ultramarathons and long weekends away within reach without packing a charger, which has always been the Ultra's main point of difference.

## The same health smarts as Series 12

The Ultra 4 shares the new Health Sensing System and S11 chip with the Series 12, so it gets heart rate readings every five seconds, heart rate variability every five minutes and the new daily Readiness score. For athletes, that more granular data should make recovery and training load easier to judge.

As with the Series 12, hypertension notifications will not be switched on in Australia at launch while Apple waits on local regulatory clearance.

## Siri AI and more

watchOS 27 brings Siri AI to the wrist, and Audio Intelligence features are due later this year. The Ultra 4 comes in natural or black titanium, and Apple has refreshed the Ocean Band and Alpine Loop straps with new colours, including a deep burgundy Alpine Loop that pairs with this year's iPhone 18 Pro finish.

At roughly double the price of the Series 12, the Ultra 4 makes the most sense for people who genuinely need its battery life and toughness. For everyone else, the Series 12 now shares most of the same health features.
