# DJI Osmo Pocket 4P adds a 3x telephoto camera to the pocket gimbal.

DJI's pocket gimbal camera has grown a second lens. First shown at Cannes on 29 June 2026 and now on sale in Australia, the **DJI Osmo Pocket 4P** is the company's first dual-lens gimbal camera, pairing a 1-inch main sensor with a new 60mm medium telephoto. It starts at A$959, and for creators, travellers and anyone who has wanted a tighter, more flattering framing without swapping to a bigger camera, it is a significant step.

## Two cameras on one gimbal

The main camera uses a 1-inch CMOS sensor behind a 20mm-equivalent f/2.0 lens, rated at 17 stops of dynamic range. Next to it sits the new 60mm-equivalent f/1.8 telephoto, which GadgetGuy reports uses a 1/1.28-inch sensor. It delivers 3x optical zoom and up to 12x digital zoom. Stills reach up to 37MP.

Both cameras ride on a three-axis mechanical gimbal, so the telephoto gets the same smooth stabilisation the Pocket series is known for. DJI describes the 4P as representing "the convergence of high-end film technology and extreme portability."

## Video and workflow

The 4P shoots 4K at up to 240 frames per second for slow motion and adds DJI's 10-bit D-Log 2 colour profile for more grading latitude, alongside a 4K Live Photo mode. ActiveTrack 8.0 handles subject tracking, and the touchscreen rotates to power the camera on.

Battery life is quoted at up to 210 minutes, with a fast charge from 0 to 80 per cent in 18 minutes. Footage offloads via USB 3.1 at up to 800MB/s.

The trade-off for the second camera is weight. The 4P comes in at 230g, 51g heavier than the single-lens Osmo Pocket 4, according to GadgetGuy. It is still genuinely pocketable, but you will notice it.

## How it fits the market

GadgetGuy notes the 4P undercuts its main rival, the Luna Ultra (A$1,229), by nearly A$300, making it roughly 20 per cent cheaper. It also reports that the older Osmo Pocket 3 dropped to A$599 from 3 August, which gives budget-conscious buyers a much cheaper way into DJI's gimbal cameras.
