THE DROP: Longchamp My Pliage pop-up and adidas SPZL club capsules
A Le Pliage you can design yourself, plus adidas SPZL turning Manchester United and Liverpool into grown-up tracksuit and trainer sets. Two drops, one edit.
THE DROP is our weekly look at fresh releases, and as of 10th Oct 26 two of them are worth your attention: a personalisation pop-up that brings Longchamp's most recognisable bag to Melbourne for the first time, and a pair of football club capsules from adidas Originals that treat Manchester United and Liverpool like fashion labels. One is about making an everyday classic feel like yours. The other is about wearing your club without the replica jersey.
Longchamp brings My Pliage to Chadstone
If you have ever stood on a train platform and counted the Le Pliage totes going past, you already know why Longchamp has built a service around making one different. My Pliage is the brand's personalisation program, and from 10th Oct 26 to 27th Oct 26 it has a dedicated pop-up on the ground floor of Chadstone Shopping Centre, the first time the experience has been offered in Australia in person.

The idea is simple. Instead of choosing a finished bag off a shelf, you build it with a Longchamp advisor: pick a model and print from an expanded selection, then set the colour, lettering, leather trims and hardware finish. You can also add a hidden message inside, whether that is a name, initials, a meaningful date or a few words only you will know about. Each bag is handcrafted to order at Longchamp's atelier in Segré, France, so it is not an on-the-spot purchase, but it does make a considered gift.

Trading Monday to Sunday its time to get down to Chadstone. Longchamp has not published pricing for the personalised bags. For a sense of the base, the standard Le Pliage Original L tote is A$310 on the brand's Australian site. But be warned often there are no returns on customised items.
adidas SPZL turns football clubs into a wardrobe
SPZL is adidas Originals' take on British terrace culture, the Spezial line that has long been about trainers and tracksuits rather than match-day kit. This week it moved to club badges. The Manchester United SPZL F.C. collection launched on 7th Oct 26, and the Liverpool SPZL F.C. collection followed on 8th Oct 26. Both are now listed as new on adidas.com.au.

The two capsules share a blueprint and differ in mood. Manchester United is mostly black, with white and red details, a retro-inspired short-sleeve football jersey, a long-sleeve polo, a classic track jacket and matching track pants. Liverpool leans on dove grey and red, with a red football-style tee and polo, a full-zip track top and relaxed straight-leg track pants with red contrast piping. In Australia the polos are A$220, the track tops A$320 and the track pants A$250 for each club.

The shoes carry it. The Liverpool FC SPZL Kirkdale II is A$240 and the Manchester United SPZL F.C. SL83 is also A$240. Both are archive-leaning runners rather than court silhouettes, which keeps the sets looking considered instead of costume. Press coverage also points to a ZX 7300 in the collections.

The money is the honest question. A track top and pants together is A$570 before shoes, and adidas lists these pieces as excluded from promotional discounts. That is serious spend for a football-adjacent tracksuit, so this is for people who already want the club and the look, not a casual pick-up. Worth knowing: adidas has not marketed the pants as wide leg, so if that is the silhouette you are chasing, these are relaxed and straight rather than flared.
At a glance
- Longchamp My Pliage pop-up: Chadstone Shopping Centre, ground floor, 10th Oct 26 to 27th Oct 26. Made to order in France. Personalisation pricing not published.
- Le Pliage Original L tote (base bag): A$310.
- adidas Manchester United SPZL F.C.: launched 7th Oct 26. Track pant A$250, track top A$320, polo A$220, SL83 shoes A$240.
- adidas Liverpool SPZL F.C.: launched 8th Oct 26. Track pant A$250, track top A$320, polo A$220, Kirkdale II shoes A$240.
Verdict: The Longchamp pop-up is the one to diarise if you want a Le Pliage that is properly yours, while the adidas SPZL capsules are the pick if you want a club tracksuit that reads as fashion first, as long as A$570 for the top and pants suits the budget.
