Dyson's CameraJet toothbrush, Nurovi robot vacuums and Airsmooth brush: Australian prices and dates

Dyson used its Unveiled 2026 event in Berlin on 3 September to show a new wave of machines built around cameras, sensors and AI, and several of them are already on sale in Australia. The headline act is CameraJet, a toothbrush with a built-in macro camera, but the launch also brings the Nurovi family of robot cleaners, new HushJet air purifiers and two hair tools. Here is what matters for Australian buyers.

CameraJet: a toothbrush that looks between your teeth

CameraJet uses a 100,000-pixel macro camera and a system Dyson calls Gap Optical Targeting to find the spaces between teeth in real time, processing 28 live images per second. When it finds a gap, it fires a precise burst of mouthrinse into it. There is a dual-bristle brush head, variable sonic oscillation and a tank designed to work at multiple angles. The MyDyson app connects over wi-fi and Bluetooth to show a live view, cleaning guidance and coverage mapping. Dyson says the images are neither recorded nor stored on the toothbrush or in the cloud.

Jake Dyson explained the broader shift: "We're using artificial intelligence, vision systems and machine learning to allow the machines to understand the environment they are operating in."

Nurovi robot cleaners

Dyson's new robot range comes in three tiers. The R1 Nurovi Dry is a vacuum-only model with 21,000Pa of suction, a Twin-capture system that separates coarse and fine debris, and redesigned side sweepers that reduce hair wrap. The R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry adds mopping with Reuleaux triangle-shaped pads designed to reach into corners, a dock that heats water to 75°C and an acoustic sensor that detects dust levels and floor types.

The flagship R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV uses UV light and AI vision to identify nearly 200 household substances, then returns to scrub stains until they are gone. It has 30,000Pa of suction and 70°C heated water, but it will not arrive in Australia until early 2027.

Hair tools and air care

Airsmooth is Dyson's first dedicated hot air brush, pairing looped anti-snag bristles with PivotFlex bristles that flex up to 90 degrees, plus temperature monitoring. The Corrale CoolShine straightener adds an active cooling attachment with water-filled heat-extracting pipes, which Dyson claims cuts heat damage by up to 29 per cent compared with using it without the attachment.

In air care, the HushJet Cool Pure+ Formaldehyde purifier fan is quoted at three times the purification performance of its predecessors, while the larger HushJet Big+Quiet Cool Pure+ Formaldehyde and the HushJet Hot Cool Pure+ follow in early 2027.

Dyson is also expanding its after-sales service in Australia under a "Never Without Your Dyson" banner, including free in-store diagnostics, with the company saying 80 per cent of repairs can be completed in store, often within 15 minutes, and loan machines for eligible customers during longer repairs.
