Powderfinger 2027 Australian Tour: 24 Shows, Dates and How to Get Tickets
Five members, one big top and 24 shows: Powderfinger are back on the road in 2027. Here is how the presales and general sale work, and what is still to be announced.
Yes, it is real: Powderfinger are back. The five-piece reunion was announced on 12th Oct 26, and the plan has already grown from 18 shows to 24. It is the band's first run of live shows since the Sunsets Farewell Tour finished on 13th Nov 10, and it is staged in a stadium-sized big top rather than a standard arena.
Who is playing and what it looks like
All five members are returning: Bernard Fanning, Darren Middleton, Ian Haug, Jon Coghill and John "JC" Collins. The shows run through Sep and Oct 27 and are set up as a travelling big top with both standing and seated options. All shows are all ages. Anyone under 18 needs an adult aged 18 or over with their own valid ticket, and seated tickets are strongly recommended for children aged 14 and under.

The band has said it will curate an all-Australian support line-up, with different artists on different nights. The Sunsets Farewell Tour in 2010 drew more than 300,000 people, so it is no wonder the queues were long this time.
Tour dates by city
The original 18 shows were announced on 12th Oct 26. Six more were added on 14th Oct 26 after the first presale drew long queues and heavy demand. The full list is below.

How tickets work
Tickets are sold through Ticketmaster Australia, and fans can sign up for presale access at powderfinger.com. The sale runs in three rounds, all in local time for each city.
- Artist and Telstra presale: held on 14th Oct 26. Telstra Plus members could join through their Telstra ID, and membership is free subject to eligibility.
- Live Nation presale: Fri 16th Oct 26. Start times are 11am in Brisbane and Melbourne, 12pm in Cairns and Perth, and 2pm in Sydney and Adelaide.
- General sale: Mon 19th Oct 26. Start times are 10am in Brisbane and Melbourne, 11am in Cairns and Perth, and 1pm in Sydney and Adelaide.
Sales run until the allocation is exhausted. The band has said people who missed out in the first round will have further chances.

What tickets cost
The promoter's release does not list prices. Ticketmaster's live updates page for the sale shows ticket prices from $142 up to $510, including VIP packages. Prices vary by location and availability.
What is still to be announced
The support acts are the main gap. The night promises a mix of emerging and established Australian artists, with the names due around AusMusic Month in November. The tour also has a charity partner, Mission Australia, which supports people experiencing homelessness. The band will raise funds and awareness during the run, and the details of how fans can get involved are still to come.
