Omega Seamaster James Bond and Spectre Editions: Hero and Villain Both Get a Watch
Omega has given the villain a watch for the first time in over 30 years of Bond. Two steel Seamaster Diver 300M editions, from AU$13,575, plus limited platinum-gold sets.
For more than 30 years Omega has made the watch for the hero. Now the villain gets one too. The Seamaster Diver 300M comes in two new editions, James Bond and Spectre, with two steel versions and a limited platinum-gold pairing for collectors.
The hero: James Bond Edition
The James Bond Edition is the familiar Seamaster look in blue. The dial is blue aluminium with a laser-engraved wave pattern, set under a Grade 5 titanium bezel. On the back, the rotor is a gun-barrel design in rhodium plating.

The villain: Spectre Edition
The Spectre Edition swaps the blue for black. It has a blackened grained dial and a black ceramic bezel, and the octopus logo of Spectre sits on the rotor and the engraved case back. It is the first Omega Spectre watch since the 2015 Seamaster 300 Spectre Limited Edition, and the first time in over 30 years of the Bond partnership that the villains have had a watch of their own.

What they share
Under the colour, the two steel watches are the same. Each has a 42mm case, 14.23mm thick, with 300 metres of water resistance and a brushed stainless steel mesh bracelet. Inside is the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806 with a 55-hour power reserve, visible through a sapphire case back. Both also have Omega's NAIAD Lock, which holds the crown and bezel assembly in place.

The limited platinum-gold sets
For the serious collector there are two numbered sets, 77 of each theme. Each set pairs a numbered steel watch with a platinum-gold one, and neither watch is sold on its own. The platinum-gold watches have a polished ceramic bezel, a platinum scale and an 18K white gold dial with a PVD gradient, on an alligator strap. The Bond version carries a blue gun-barrel pattern and the Spectre version a dark grey octopus pattern, with Moonshine Gold emblems on the rotors.

The box adds a NATO strap and tool, cufflinks, a cord bracelet, a loupe, a travel pouch, a card holder and a certificate.
